As a Labeada® Licensee, you are purchasing a UK postcode area – for clarity, you can see those postcode areas and outlines here so if you buy ‘CB’ area – which is Cambridge, that is YOUR territory, to ensure the market isn’t saturated and your earning potential isn’t compromised.

You CAN (as postcode areas are very large), rent out postcode sectors in your territory, to Labeada® certified Instructors if you choose to supplement your income and secure retirement income, but you can control the number of instructors in your area (unless instructors are already in situ when you purchase your licence, in which case you will buy the area with tenants in situ – and immediately benefit from their rent) – details of this are in the licensee pack that you receive after you purchase your license.

You do not have to have a dance or fitness background or qualification to train with Labeada®, lived experience of your students is better; you do need to have a very positive and solution focused mindset, you need to hold a safe space for your students, and you need to be very reliable and show up on days where you might not feel 100%.

To give you an idea about money – you can expect to top up your income by around £1,127 pcm if you run 2 classes each week with 20 attendees (based on a 48 week year). which can be a great second income, or, if you have the energy to run 6 classes each week, with around 30 attendees, you can look forward to bringing in approx. £5,460 pcm; of course your income is not capped, and when you are ready to retire, you can maintain your licence and enjoy the sector rental income, so the sky really is the limit!

A full breakdown of class business plan is included in your licensee pack. Your costs, in addition to the fees mention below, will be an accountant if you want one, for your self-assessment, and what they say you have to pay in taxes! You are self-employed as a Labeada® licensee. As we do not have an interest in a % of your income, there are no sales / motivational / pressure calls. You are free, you are at no point made to feel like an employee with targets, and you can build a profitable business knowing that you outgoings are capped.

So here are the steps to becoming a Labeada® licensee:

Step 1

Reserve your postcode area – when you reserve your postcode area this is locked for six weeks – to give you time to find finance if needed, or to lock the area while you think about whether or not to proceed – there is no obligation to proceed when you lock a postcode, but it does give you peace of mind that your catchment area and dream will not be sold to somebody else. The reserve a postcode payment is non-refundable. You can reserve your postcode area now here. You can only renew this lock once, after which time it will be released for sale. You do not have to pay the reservation fee if you are ready to go straight to Step 2.

Step 2

Commit as a licensee – on receipt of your commitment, within 7 working days you will receive your licensee pack, training pack, assessment available dates, and licensee agreement. The time frame between purchasing the area licence and generating an income through classes is approximately 6-weeks. The licence purchase fee is non-refundable as this is an administration set-up fee. You can reserve your postcode area now here. Labeada® has been created as a sustainable business model, but it is also an independent UK business, with a core ethos of the removal of barriers, so please reach out, if you need to discuss your options.

You will have first refusal to renew your licence each year (annual renewal *£600) – this will not be sold to another person after you have built up your business. As a licensee your other costs will be *£60 pcm instructor membership (non-payment = breach of licence) plus PPL and insurance (currently less than £10 pcm). – *any price increases capped at 10% per annum.

Step 3

Enjoy your training pack and, as soon as you are ready, book your training day! Now all of the hard stuff is done, you can look forward to your training day – this is the physical training to ensure that you are ready to deliver a Labeada® class. The training pack in step 2 covers A&P, business conduct, Labeada® ethos, H&S, business plan and class planning, whereas the physical training day is a practical 1-1 lesson, to demonstrate and practice the core Labeada® routines. The training day can be done at the Labeada® head office in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, or via zoom if distance is a challenge.

Step 4

Book your evaluation! This is the final stage before your Labeada® certified instructor certificate is issued. The evaluation is a 45 minute zoom meeting Q&A to ensure you can articulate what Labeada is, what Labeada is not, and you will be asked half a dozen questions from each module in the training pack. This is 1-1 and the 45 minutes is made up of around 25 minutes friendly chat and a 20 minute Q&A assessment.

The training and evaluation is not designed to fail you! but to identify any weaknesses that may need further training. No further costs will apply.

Step 5

Your licence, Labeada® t-shirt, music, Facebook area admin page will be issued, you will be added to the map below, and you can now plan, promote, and earn! As soon as you have your first class arranged head office will run a campaign to fully support you in finding your first clients.
